The perfect implant placement requires a perfect site. The bone should be in the correct position, and of an adequate thickness. The gum should be of the correct thickness and texture. In other words, we need a perfect site to be able to produce the perfect final result. The problem is a perfect site usually has a tooth in place. As soon as the tooth is removed, the site deteriorates. The site often needs bone and gum modification (grafting), to recreate the correct archecture. Dr Sascha Jovanoivc is a world leading Periodontist and runs a Master Implant Grafting course at UCLA. UCLA is one of the premier universities in the world. Sascha has gathered together some of the leading Specialists from around the world to help run his gIDE course. I am pleased to anounce that i have completed the course.
is a link to the group, and i can highly recommend the site for anyone looking for the latest information. The latest research is discussed, and analysed. The use of BMP is very exciting, and while quite expensive, saves a lot of surgery for the patients.
