is Bulk Billed at McCloy Dental

You can claim up to $1,000 for each child over two (2) consecutive calendar years. The two calendar year period starts when your child gets their first dental service. If you don’t use the $1,000 in the first year, you can use it in the second year, if your child remains eligible.

What happens at the end of the two years?

At the end of the two years, you will not be able to use any more of the available benefits, even if you haven’t used the full $1,000. However, you can start a new two calendar year period, if you remain eligible. This means you’ll get another $1,000 in benefits to claim over the next two years

The aim of the Child Dental Benefits Schedule is to provide dental care to millions of Australian children aged from 2 to 17 years old.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule covers up to $1,000 over a two calendar year period for basic dental services such as dental exams, dental x-rays, dental fillings, fissure sealants, teeth extractions, root canals.

How do I know if my child is eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule?

To be eligible for the reset $1,000 cap under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule you will need to be eligible for Medicare, receive a Family Tax Benefit Part A or equivalent government payment for at least part of the calendar year and be aged from 2 to 17 years for at least one day of the calendar year.

In recent years the Child Dental Benefits Schedule has helped thousands of children access much needed quality dental care.
